This week, Hotpoint has announced its new sponsorship agreement with famed football team AC Milan. The home appliances manufacturer hopes that the deal will boost its popularity in Italy.
According to Goal.com, Hotpoint aims to become more popular among Italian homeowners. The company’s executive team believes that the vast presence of football in the country will certainly have an impact on Hotpoint’s profile. The brand is confident that supporting a prestigious club like AC Milan will promote Hotpoint as a premium home appliances manufacturer.
Hotpoint will join a number of renowned companies as a valued AC Milan Premium Sponsor. The other brands on this list are: McVitie’s, Huawei Technologies, Toyo Tires and Frecciarossa Trains. Fly Emirates remains the official sponsor of AC Milan while the team’s technical sponsor is Adidas.
This is not the first time an appliance manufacturer has teamed up with a football club. In fact, Indesit became an AC Milan sponsor in 2011. It is thought that the Hotpoint deal may be extension of it, but the particular details have yet to be confirmed.
LG is another appliance manufacturer that is quite involved in the football market. In 2013, the company announced its sponsorship of the German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. As well, LC Electronics currently sponsors Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League.
