Congratulations to Rangemaster on their Millionth Range Cooker

This week, Rangemaster manufactured its millionth range cooker, and celebrated the occasion in style. The landmark cooker was produced with a gorgeous gold finish. At Ship It Appliances, we would also like to commemorate the occasion by noting some of Rangemaster’s impressive highlights over the years.

In 1830, Sidney Flavel created the Kitchener range cooker, as a cooking solution that allowed homeowners to – improving the taste and quality of food. Around the world, it was recognised as a ground-breaking piece of technology – and it won the 1851 Gold Medal at London’s Great Exhibition.

In the 1960s, newly established gas and electricity utility companies changed the priorities of UK homeowners. There was a demand for appliances to be connected to these supply networks, and Rangemaster rose to the challenge. During this time, the company pioneered dual fuel cookers and was the first manufacturer to offer range cookers in various colours.

By 1995, the company launched its first double oven range cooker, which further changed the way we prepare and cook meals. In 2011, Rangemaster became the first cooker manufacturer to receive certification from the Energy Saving Trust. The company’s products were recognised for their ability to help homeowners cut down on their energy usage – saving them money and helping the environment.

For 200 years, Rangemaster has maintained its reputation as a leading cooker manufacturer. The company produces 40 000 range cookers per year, providing homeowners around the world with high-quality products that are energy-efficient.

You can read more about the history of Rangemaster in the company’s History Brochure.
