At Ship It Appliances, Franke is one of our favourite kitchen appliance manufacturers. In addition to producing high-quality sinks, taps and cooker hoods, the company works hard to give back to the community. As part of Franke’s latest charitable effort, the company has launched a fundraising campaign for Ashgate Hospicecare.
This week, Franke unveiled its Tree of Life sculpture, which will be displayed in the reception area of the hospice. It will help to raise money for the organisation, as visitors can place a ‘leaf’ on the tree in return for a one-off donation or a monthly contribution.
A leg, an apple or a dove can be purchased. It will then be inscribed with a name on behalf of the donor and hung on the tree. All proceeds from the purchase of these leaves will be donated to Ashgate Hospicecare.
“Ashgate Hospicecare is always looking for creative ways to raise much needed funding,” says Dale Hardy of Franke. “This is a highly visual tool for them to promote donations and contributions from the local community. The Tree of Life has been designed and manufactured right here in Chesterfield, with input from our engineers, designers and apprentices”.
There are 300 spaces on the tree. If they are all filed, then Ashgate will be able to fund two Specialist Nurses every year. As such, the Tree of Life is a very valuable contribution to the hospice, and it will certainly help to better many lives.
If you would like to purchase a spot on the Tree of Life, please contact Ashgate Hospicecare.
